BOGO BOOK FAIR


Our annual Buy One Get One Free Book Fair is coming May 17th!  Be ready to get some great summer reading books.  Also, please attend our annual Fine Arts Night and Book Fair on Wednesday, May 19th!


Family Reading Night

Is Coming Soon….

Text Box: Our next Family Reading Night will be Tuesday, May 4th from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.  We will kick-off our ‘One Book, One District’ after Spring Break and read the book Frindle by Andrew Clements.  Our Family Reading Night will be a family-friendly night of fun with activities, contests, and snacks!  Be looking for more information!

                 

AFRICAN AMERICAN READ-IN

Laraway participated in the 2010 African American Read-In for the first time during February, Black History Month.  Each class read a picture book written by an African American Author and made projects to display for our assembly.  Students from K-8th grade also participated in our Black History Assembly which was a success!

Grades K-3 voted for Scaredy Squirrel as their favorite!

Grades 4 – 8 voted Naked Mole Rat Letters as their favorite!

State results will be announced at the end of March!

Pre-K - 5th grade students enjoyed the professional production of Charlotte’s Web by Theatreworks USA that came to Laraway School February 1st.  This was made possible by a Target Grant awarded to our library.  It was extra special to have our students hear the story by E.B. White in class. before the play!
