Mr. Griffith’s S.O.L.E. Blog

“This year at Laraway School we will continue our school-wide reward system for recognizing students who demonstrate positive behaviors during school activities. The theme we have chosen for this program is “Laraway S.O.L.E”.  The acronym S.O.L.E. represents the four main areas that Laraway and Oak Valley teachers and staff will be looking for positive behaviors in: Self, Others, Learning and Environment.

 

Each time that a Laraway district staff member witnesses a student demonstrating positive behavior in one of these four areas, they will give that student a S.O.L.E. “footprint” coupon similar to the one you see on this website.  The student can later redeem their coupons for a variety of special prizes.  These prizes include weekly drawings, treats at lunch time, school supplies, or even entry into a monthly after-school celebration!  Other prizes and events will be announced throughout the year.

 

Each student will be responsible for keeping their own “footprints” until they are ready to cash them in.  We hope that this program will not only provide the students with the recognition that they deserve, but will also help to maintain a positive and productive environment for all members of Laraway School District.”
